Privacy & data practices
Privacy Policy
Kiwi Cleaning Company respects the privacy of customers, prospective customers, website visitors, and business contacts. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and disclose it, and the choices available to you.
Our privacy commitments
These commitments apply to information handled by Kiwi Cleaning Company ("Kiwi," "we," "us," or "our") in connection with our website, quote requests, customer communications, estimates, invoices, and cleaning services.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect online and offline in connection with Kiwi's website, quote and contact forms, telephone calls, email, SMS communications, estimates, service appointments, photographs or service documentation, invoicing, payment records, and customer support.
This policy does not control the independent privacy practices of third-party websites or services that we do not own or operate. When a third-party provider processes information for us, its processing may also be governed by its own privacy terms and our contract with that provider.
2. California notice at collection
At or before collection, we want California residents to understand the categories of personal information we may collect, why we collect it, and how long we generally retain it. We collect only information reasonably necessary and proportionate for the purposes described below.

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, health information, precise geolocation for tracking, or payment-card security codes through our public quote form.
3. Sources of personal information
We collect personal information primarily from you when you request a quote, call us, email us, choose SMS delivery, approve an estimate, schedule or receive services, make a payment, or otherwise communicate with us. We may also receive information from:
- property owners, managers, tenants, or authorized representatives involved in a service request;
- service providers that support hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery, payment processing, fraud prevention, accounting, or advertising measurement;
- publicly available property or business information when reasonably necessary to prepare or validate a service request; and
- our own website and server logs, including IP address and submission/security events.
We do not purchase consumer lead lists for the purpose of transferring SMS consent, and SMS consent provided to another company is not treated as consent to receive texts from Kiwi.
4. How we use information
We may use personal information to:
- respond to quote requests and questions;
- prepare, deliver, and follow up on estimates;
- schedule, perform, document, and support cleaning services;
- send service-related email or SMS communications according to your selected method and consent;
- process and reconcile payments through third-party payment providers;
- maintain invoices, service history, customer records, and accounting records;
- detect spam, fraud, security incidents, or misuse of our website and forms;
- measure advertising and website effectiveness;
- resolve complaints, damage claims, charge disputes, or other service concerns;
- comply with legal, tax, insurance, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and enforce agreements.
5. When we disclose information
We may disclose only the information reasonably necessary to service providers and other recipients that help us operate our business, such as:
- website hosting, security, and IT providers;
- email-delivery providers used to deliver quote requests or service communications;
- SMS and telecommunications providers used to transmit messages you have requested, including carriers and messaging infrastructure providers;
- payment processors used to securely process customer payments;
- accounting, bookkeeping, insurance, legal, or professional advisors;
- vendors that help us perform an approved service when disclosure is reasonably necessary and legally permitted; and
- government authorities, courts, insurers, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or prevent fraud.
Service providers are not authorized by Kiwi to use customer information for their own independent marketing merely because they provide a service to us.
6. SMS privacy and consent
If you select SMS as the method for receiving your quote or related service communications and affirmatively check the SMS consent box, you agree to receive text messages from Kiwi Cleaning Company at the number you provided regarding that quote request and related service communications.
- Message frequency varies depending on the quote and service activity.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out. We will honor an opt-out request and may send a final confirmation message.
- Reply HELP for help, or call 877-331-5494.
- Consent to SMS is not a condition of purchasing cleaning services; you may choose Email instead where offered.
- We do not use consent given for a quote request as permission for unrelated marketing unless you separately and expressly consent to such marketing.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, transferred, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional use. Information may be processed by telecommunications and messaging service providers only as reasonably necessary to deliver or support the messages you requested and to comply with law.
7. Payment-card information
Kiwi does not store full credit-card or debit-card numbers or card security codes (CVV/CVC) on our website or business systems. When payment by card or card-on-file booking is offered, card information is entered directly into and processed by Square or another third-party payment processor. The processor handles the sensitive payment-card data under its own security and privacy obligations.
If you authorize a card to be stored for later service charges, Kiwi may retain non-sensitive payment references needed to administer that authorization, such as the processor customer ID, processor card ID or token reference, card brand, last four digits, booking ID, authorization timestamp, amount or plan rate, payment status, and transaction or receipt references. These references cannot be used to reconstruct the full card number or CVV.
8. Cookies, advertising measurement, and online tracking
Our website may use essential browser/server technologies needed for normal operation, security, and form processing. After certain website actions, such as a successful quote request, we may use Google Ads conversion measurement to understand whether an advertisement resulted in a conversion. Depending on your browser and Google's configuration, this technology may process online identifiers, device/browser information, IP-derived information, cookies, and event data.
We do not intentionally send your quote-form fields, mobile number, SMS consent, message content, or full payment-card data to Google through the basic quote conversion event. Google's handling of data is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policies.
California Do Not Track disclosures
There is no universally accepted standard for legacy browser "Do Not Track" signals, and our website does not currently implement a special technical response to those legacy signals. If Kiwi engages in processing that requires recognition of a legally valid opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, and the applicable California requirements apply to Kiwi, we will honor such signals as required by law.
Third-party service providers involved in advertising measurement may collect information about your interaction with our site as described above. We do not authorize those providers to receive Kiwi SMS opt-in data for their own marketing.
9. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary and proportionate for the purpose for which it was collected, including to provide services, keep business and tax records, document customer authorization and messaging consent, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law.
Retention periods vary by record type. For example, quote requests that do not become customers may be retained for a shorter period than executed estimates, invoices, service records, consent records, or records required for tax, insurance, or legal purposes. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, destroy, or de-identify it, subject to backup cycles and legal exceptions.
10. Information security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. Examples may include access controls, protected server directories, HTTPS/TLS, form security controls, limited access to business records, and use of specialized service providers for payment and messaging functions.
No website, email system, text-message network, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should avoid sending sensitive information that we do not request, including full payment-card numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers, or medical information, through our quote form, email, or SMS.
11. California privacy rights
This policy is designed to address applicable California online privacy notice requirements, including the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), and, where the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA) applies to Kiwi, the CCPA's privacy-policy and consumer-rights requirements.
California law may provide residents with privacy rights depending on the law that applies to Kiwi and the particular information. Where the CCPA applies, those rights may include the right to:
- know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you and certain information about how it is used or disclosed;
- request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
- request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, where applicable;
- limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable; and
- receive equal service and not be unlawfully discriminated against for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Kiwi does not sell customer personal information. Kiwi also does not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS consent for marketing or promotional purposes. If our practices change in a way that creates additional California opt-out obligations, we will update this policy and provide the controls required by applicable law.
12. How to make a privacy request
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you, or ask a question about our privacy practices, using either of these methods:
- Call toll-free: 877-331-5494
- Email: Submit a Privacy Request
You may also write to: Kiwi Cleaning Company, Attn: Privacy Request, 2244 Faraday Ave, Carlsbad, CA 92008.
We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. Verification information will be used only as reasonably necessary to verify and process the request. Where California law permits an authorized agent to act for you, we may require proof of the agent's authority and may ask you to verify your identity or confirm the authorization directly.
If the CCPA applies to a request, we will respond within the time periods required by applicable law, subject to permitted extensions and exceptions.
13. Children's privacy
Our website and cleaning services are intended for adults and business representatives. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. We also do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, legal requirements, or privacy practices. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date and post the revised policy at this same public URL. When required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying a materially different use to previously collected information.
You may request review or correction of personal information using the privacy-request methods above.
